A Walk - Coledale Round with John Parkinson
9.98 miles / 16.1 km with 4403 ft / 1343 m Total Ascent

Six Wainwrights are climbed in this shortish but punchy hike from Braithwaite.  From Whinlatter Pass we head up over Kinn and Sleet How before hauling up the steep climb to Grisedale Pike.  From there it’s onto Hobcarton Crag, Hopegill Head, over to Crag Hill and Sail, before completing the less rigorous tops of Outerside, Stile End and Barrow.

B+ Walk - Barrow with Val Walmsley
9 miles / 14.5 km with 1353 ft / 420 m Total Ascent

From Braithwaite long gradual ascent up Barrow, drop down to Barrow Door. Climb Stile End, short, & return to main path. Follow this down Stonycroft Ghyll, dramatic all round, to Rowling End Farm. East to Ghyll Bank, Skelgill & finally reach Cumbria Way to return to Keswick.

B Walk - Keswick around Derwent Water with Bob Evans
10 miles / 16 km with 377 ft / 115 m Total Ascent

A walk around Derwent Water this walk could potentially incur some wading through some  shallow water for a stretch of about 50 metres so I suggest if you can carry some old footwear ie trainers or beach footwear.
Hopefully it will be dry enough this time of year not to need these items but best to be prepared. There will be an alternative route if needed but doubtful.

C Walk - Braithwaite to Keswick with Jan Atkins & Barbara Gilbert
6½ miles (10.4km) with 263ft (80m) Total Ascent

Leaving Braithwaite in a SE direction towards Little Braithwaite we join the riverside footpath by Newlands Beck which leads us to Stair. We continue down to Rowling End Farm and cross over the beck towards Ghyll Bank. We follow the footpath to Skelgill and then walk by the side of Cat Bells to join the Cumbria Way.

The Cumbria Way takes us up to Keswick but we will make a detour to Lingholm and Nichol End.

Meet at Alder Lane Playing Field car park, Bramble Way, Parbold (WN8 7HZ), ready for the usual start time of 10.30am.

We set off along the canal then head up through Fairy Glen to meet and cross the A5209.

Passing the Boars Den barrow, a bronze age burial mound, we cross fields to High Moor Lane and continue on past Pine Covert, Wrights Covert and Dwerry House to start the gentle climb to the windmill ruin on Harrock Hill.

We then drop down through the grounds of Harrock Hall, past Butteries Wood to meet High Moor Lane and on past Bowling Green House Farm to bring us out near Christ Church on Parbold Hill.

A short stretch along the road finds us a path leading down over the railway crossing and through meadows back to the car park.
